Forged cards used to buy gold worth Dh75,000
Police was tipped off that MA, 33-year-old Pakistani accountant, possessed forged credit cards and is looking for a jewellery shop that would cooperate with him in using the forged cards to buy gold against Dh1,000 per used card for the salesman who would agree.
Police coordinated with the informer and a jewellery shop in Lulu Centre in Al Qusais to help arrest the suspect.
MA came to the jewellery shop along with other three others: HB, 28, salesman, AT, 26, businessman, both Indians, and MF, 32, Pakistani visitor.
After ensuring that the salesman is ready to cooperate with them, the accused brought a credit card and a free zone ID card from his companion who was waiting outside. At that moment, police raided the place and arrested the four accused.
