The South African Gold Krugerrand 1/4 oz coin is produced through a partnership between Rand Refinery and the South African Mint. Each 1/4 oz Gold Krugerrand contains 1/4 troy ounce of fine gold and is struck in 22-karat gold, with a purity of 91.67% gold. The Rand Refinery manufactures the coin blanks, which are then struck into finished Krugerrand coins by the South African Mint.
